Yarrow - Yellow
The Yarrow Anthea, 'Achillea millefolium', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright yellow flowered Yarrow that blooms from June through September, providing excellent color throughout the summer months. With fern-like aromatic, silvery to gray-green foliage, it is considered to be one of the best yarrows in any landscape. The foliage has a somewhat strong, spicy aroma, which persists when used in dried arrangements. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 12-18” and a height of 2-3’. ‘Anthea’ has good texture and form and looks great in mass plantings and cottage gardens and is more vigorous and heat tolerant than Achillea ‘Moonshine’. This Yarrow does well in average garden soils, but prefers lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils. ) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant of hot humid summers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant. PP8828. ... find out more
