Vines
Climbing Hydrangea The Climbing Hydrangea, 'Hydrangea petiolaris', will produce beautiful white flowers in late summer and early fall. Climbing Hydrangea is one of the best vines for clinging to brick or stone walls. The yellow fall foliage is another feature of this plant. The Climbing Hydrangea vine is an extremely versatile vine with year-round interest. The exfoliating, reddish brown bark of mature plants is attractive in winter. It can be particularly effective when grown against building walls where it can easily attach and cling to the surface. Use this plant for climbing on arbors, fences or the trunks of large trees, and over low stone walls. It also can be grown as a ground cover in shady areas or on steep embankments.
Japanese Honeysuckle Halliana It has whitish-yellow flowers with a delightful fragrance. Hall's Honeysuckles are a very fast growing plant to 15 to 30 feet. Excellent for screening or to drape over an unsightly wall or wood fence. Honeysuckle enjoys the full sun, but grows and flowers well in partial shade. Honeysuckle can be cut nearly to the ground in late winter/early spring when it becomes too big; new shoots emerge and growth resumes in the spring. Capable of covering huge amounts of space in a short time, this vine makes a great ground cover on banks and slopes for erosion control.
Trumpet Creeper It is also known as the Trumpet Vine and is a tough vine for hot and dry sites. The invasive nature of this plant makes it hard to get rid of but also very hardy. The abundant sprays of trumpet-shaped orange flowers cover this deciduous vine for an extra long bloom season. Trumpet Creepers are often grown with multiple trunks. The rapid growth makes it an excellent plant for covering fences or arbors.
Ivy English The English Ivy, Hedera helix, is a classic, fan-shaped, silver green English Ivy from the Fall Magic collection. English Ivy is a strong growing, trailing variety that's great for baskets, containers, or as a groundcover. The dense growth and abundant leaves form a thick canopy just above the ground, and prevent sunlight from reaching other plants. It is widely used by homewoners, hirticulturists, landscape contractors and others desiring a fast growing, low maintainence, evergreen cover.
Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle Vine The Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle Vine, Lonicera 'Dropmore Scarlet', is a vining honeysuckle that is very winter hardy and easy to grow. It has loads of fragrant scarlet-orange, tubular flowers from June to September. Hummingbirds are always visiting this plant in our gardens. Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle Vines do best in at least a half day of full sun in consistently moist, organic soil. Easy to grow in fertile, well-drained soil.
Ivy Duckfoot The Duckfoot Vine, Hedera Helix, has small, matt, olive green, rounded, fan shaped leaves that look just like little duck feet. Duckfoots have fast growing short internodes and a good self branching habit. A nicely trailing variety that's especially good in baskets. Other uses are for groundcover indoors and terrariums.
Five Leaf Akebia This twining woody vine can also be used as a groundcover and should be planted in full sun. Although flowers are unusual, they may appear in late March to early April and are fragrant. Because it is a rapid grower, one will need to cut back Akebia throughout the season and to the ground at the end of the summer.
Variegated Mountain Fleece As the leaves mature thay turn a marbled white and green with pink hilights and red stems. To maintain form, this plant should be pruned back extensively every spring. The Fallopia will reach a mature height of about 4 feet and they will spread and make larger clumps each year, hence, the need for pruning if you want to confine this plant in a smaller area.
Lemon Lace Vine It can climb up to 25’ and has small, creamy white flowers that cluster the golden foliage. Plant this hardy vine in full sun and in a moist to well drained soil.
Aunt Dee Wisteria Aunt Dee needs support, such as a trellis, arbor or fence to grow and climb on. Aunt Dee blooms when very young. Prune after flowering.

Boston Ivy The glossy, dark green, three-lobed leaves turn bright red in the fall.
Dutchmans Pipe It is native to the Eastern U.
