The Chelone ‘Pink Turtlehead’, Chelone obliqua, is a deep carmine pink wildflower that resembles snapdragons and heads of turtles. The dark green foliage makes ‘Pink Turtlehead’ beautiful all year long. The flowers bloom from mind summer to early fall, with a plant height of 3’ and a spread of 18-24”. Chelone ‘Pink Turtlehead’ needs a full sun area, tolerating some shade in the afternoon. It is recommended for moist, well-drained area and must be kept watered at all times. This low maintenance perennial is highly pest resistant and will look great under a tree canopy or in a colorful perennial bed. Snow in Summer The Cerastium ‘Snow in Summer’, Cerastium tomentosum, is a wonderful bright-white, star shaped flower that blooms from last spring to early summer. The silvery, mat-forming foliage looks great as a ground cover, in rock walls or between stepping-stones. It may have the tendency to spread but has no serious pests and diseases. ‘Snow in Summer’ has a plant height of 4” with a plant spread of 6-12”. This easy to grow perennial requires full sun and will grow in dry to moist soils that are well drained.
