Sunflower - Moulin Rouge
The Moulin Rouge sunflower, 'Helianthus annuus (Hybrid)', is a rich velvety, deep red sunflower. The Moulin Rouge will steal the show in your gardens and bouquets. It is pollenless and is excellent for cutting. It will produce 4 to 6 inch deep red flowers that will produce summer into fall Moulin Rouge sunflowers will grow in almost any soil. They are drought tolerant but will require considerable moisture to grow and flower profusely. A second planting 2 weeks after the initial planting and a third planting 2 weeks later will produce attractive foliage and flowers until the first fall frost. It is a dwarf intermediate which means it will continue to produce right up to frost. Husky Gold has beautiful gold color tomatoes, high yields, compact plant, and disease resistance which make this plant a great choice. The golden deep oblate fruits weigh in at about 5 to 7 oz. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Prune the intermediate tomatoes in order to keep a single stem. |
