Kerria japonica 'Superba', Kerria japonica 'Superba', exhibits single, golden yellow flowers that are produced in spring among the bright green foliage. The yellow-green stems add color to the winter landscape. This shrub forms a broad, rounded shape and tolerates shade well. The stems hold their green color in the winter so can provide some winter interest. The plant is considered to be generally easy to grow and so might be considered for tough sites.
