The Bergenia ‘Bressingham Ruby’, a Blooms of Bressingham plant, also known at Bergenia Pigsqueak or Heartleaf, is a popular ground cover that is great for weed-smothering. The deep rosy-red flowers show from mid to late spring and are a great contrast with its foliage. Bergenia ‘Bressingham Ruby’ should be planted in full shade, but will tolerate some morning sun. It has a plant height of 14” and a spread of 12” wide. Try planting Bergenia ‘Bressingham Ruby’ with Japanese Painted Fern or Pulmonairia ‘Mrs. Moon’.
