Beautybush, 'Kolkwitzia amabilis', has pale pink bell-shaped flowers in early June that produce tan colored hairy seeds that remain into winter. The dark green summer foliage develops reddish fall color. This upright, arching shrub prospers in dry, sandy, poor soil. It is an arching, spreading shrub, with graceful hanging branches, reaching 8 feet tall, usually as wide as it is tall.
